Teacher Education Admissions ApplicationList Item 1
Students are ready to apply for admission into the Teacher Education Program when they have met the following criteria:
- They have a core GPA of 2.75 and above
- When they have completed the 42 hours of the University Core courses.
- When they have completed the following credit hours in their core subject area.
- Core EC-6 -42 hours
- Special Education - 15 hours
- English Language Arts & Reading- 15 hours
- Mathematics- 15 hours
- Science- 15 hours
- Social Studies- 15 hours
4. They must complete and submit their application packet to their advisor..

Residency Program Admissions ApplicationList Item 1
Clinical teaching/ Residency is the culminating experience where each resident will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and dispositions related to educating pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students. By the time residents graduate, they will have an impressive combination of education, practical experience and an extensive professional network that will set them apart from other candidates. Getting this yearlong clinical experience sets them apart having had one whole year to work with students.
Candidates are ready to apply for admission into the residency when:
They have successfully completed the 3000-level CUIN courses with a B or higher.
When they maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher.
When they have taken and passed their TExES Content exams.
When they have completed and submitted their application packet to their advisor.
